Since 2017, the Boston Book Festival has fostered the love of reading for Boston-area students by filling their library bookshelves with brand-new, high-quality, and culturally relevant books. This year, Boston Book Festival and Wondermore (Wondermore ) are so excited to support the John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics(John D. O’Bryant School of Mathematics and Science ) and Science this year.

The school’s library will receive a minimum of 50 new books across genres, as well as an author visit from BBF 2026 Keynote Speaker Renée Watson (Renée Watson )

Donations from BBF community members make Shelf Help and all our FREE programs possible year long. Consider donating to help us fill libraries like those at the O’Bryant!

Join us in welcoming Emily Wilson for our Classics Keynote, Michael Murphy (Michael Murphy ) for our Architecture Keynote, Edwidge Danticat and Imbolo Mbue for our Fiction Keynote, Walter Mosley (Walter Mosley ) and Tess Gerritsen (Tess Gerritsen ) for our Mystery Keynote, Renée Watson (Renée Watson ) for our YA Keynote, and Meg Medina (Meg Medina ) for our Children’s Keynote.

Boston Book Festival is excited to announce our 2026 Opening Night event! We are honored to welcome bestselling author, podcaster, and political analyst Michael Lewis (Michael Lewis) and welcome Geraldine Brooks (Geraldine Brooks) back to the BBF stage. This not-to-be missed conversation will feature Lewis’ forthcoming book, Blockers: Rebels in the Deep State.

Join us at 7:30 on Friday, October 16th for this essential conversation. Tickets include a copy of Blockers and
can be purchased on Eventbrite for $45 (+ $4.87 fees). All proceeds go towards keeping the Boston Book Festival free and open to all!
