🎨 Meet the artist behind our 2026 festival poster. Felipe Ortiz

This year’s CineFest Latino Boston artwork was created by Felipe Ortiz, a Colombian artist based in Boston whose work spans painting, public art, and large-scale murals. His work has been exhibited in institutions including the Massachusetts State House, Northeastern University, the Cape Cod Museum of Art, and the Provincetown Public Art Foundation.

The painting featured on our 2026 poster, La pendiente, captures a moment walking through the hillside neighborhood of Siloé in Cali, Colombia. While the neighborhood is often defined by its challenges, Felipe’s experience there tells a different story—one of creativity, community, and possibility.

For Felipe, public art is more than a mural. It’s a way to create connection, inspire young people, and strengthen communities through shared expression.

We’re honored to feature La pendiente as the visual identity of CineFest Latino Boston 2026 and to celebrate an artist whose work reflects the same values that inspire our festival: storytelling, resilience, and the power of culture to bring people together.
