We are excited, that Estonian director 𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐒𝐢𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐬 (whose film "The Little Comrade" was a hit during BBFF '19) has been selected for the international film program 2026, which aims to strengthen creative and collaborative relations between Europe and
the United States through film. It is an initiative of the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, which brings together renowned European authors and creates an opportunity for
them to strengthen professional contacts in the US film industry.
The first phase of the program will take place at the Berkshire International Film Festival in Massachusetts, where each director’s work will be presented in a special program. As part of the festival, filmmakers will also participate in a workshop focused on creative exchanges and mentorship, which will create an opportunity for meaningful discussions and long-term collaborative relationships.
Check out the program and get your tickets here:

New to the Festival this year, Transatlantic Stars brings a select group of award-winning EU filmmakers together for an honest conversation about what it means to make work across borders in this moment.
