he showcasing of compelling stories that revolve around poignant topics of growth, identity, discovery, and adventure. By bringing in Taiwanese films that are rich in authenticity and multiplicitous diversity, TFFB aims to highlight the cultural beauty of Taiwan as a nation brimming with international flavors and transcendent artistry. With poignant screenings and engaging panel discussions featuring the creators behind Taiwan’s most celebrated films, we aim to show how Taiwan is a cultural and cinematic powerhouse that empowers audiences and filmmakers– both young and old, international and domestic– to establish a multi-national community filled with unceasing love, understanding, compassion, and above all, meaningful conversation.

🎉 For the third year in a row, the Taiwan Film Festival of Boston was delighted to participate in the New England Hong Kong Festival !

We had a fantastic day meeting old friends and making new ones. Our Taiwan-themed souvenirs were a big hit, and visitors especially enjoyed learning Taiwan's phonetic writing system, Bopomofo (注音符號), and designing their own personalized postcards. Seeing everyone's creativity on display was one of the highlights of the day!

A special thank-you to the Hong Kong Festival team for all of their hard work in organizing another successful event, and to Wei-to-go for generously sponsoring lunch for our volunteers once again.

🎶✨ What a lovely evening at the closing concert of Boston Turkish Festival!

Huge congratulations on celebrating your 25th anniversary. Thank you for welcoming us to both the opening film screening at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the closing night at Longy School of Music. Reaching this milestone is truly an incredible achievement. 🎉👏

Interestingly, TFFB was reconnected with the Turkish Film and Music Festival also at the closing concert back in 2024. Although the music is fading and the evening is coming to a close, we believe this is not an ending, but the beginning of many more exciting collaborations and opportunities ahead! 🤝

We had a wonderful time participating in the Museum of Science, Boston AAPI Celebration this past weekend! 🎬✨

Our Taipei 101 model was a big hit, and we were thrilled to connect with visitors, families, and community organizations throughout the day. We are happy to see friends from Boston Asian American Film Festival , Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence , Showa Boston Institute and many other amazing community partners working to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander cultures across New England.

Thank you to the Museum of Science for hosting such a vibrant and meaningful event!

📣 During Taiwanese American Heritage Week, there is a great opportunity to learn more about Taiwan’s story and democratic journey.

The acclaimed documentary Invisible Nation 《看不見的國家》is now available to watch for FREE on the PBS website!

Directed and produced by Vanessa Hope, the film takes viewers on an unprecedented journey with several Taiwanese politicians, offering an intimate look at Taiwan as a vibrant young democracy navigating its history, global challenges, and its place on the world stage.

As we celebrate Taiwanese American Heritage Week, this is a meaningful chance to learn more about Taiwan’s resilience, democratic values, and the stories that continue to shape our community.
