The Boston Portuguese Festival would like to extend our sincere thanks to Fundação Luso-Americana (FLAD) – Luso-American Development Foundation for their generous support of our Fado & Wine Tasting Celebration held on June 6.

Partnerships like this help us continue promoting Portuguese culture and strengthening ties between Portugal and the Portuguese-American community as we work toward our return to Boston City Hall Plaza in 2027.

We also encourage our friends and followers to learn more about FLAD’s upcoming Atlantic Celebration Day, taking place on July 19 in New Bedford. Be sure to support this wonderful event celebrating the enduring connections between Portugal, the Atlantic, and our communities.

The Boston Portuguese Festival was proud to be present for this special celebration, held in the distinguished presence of Ambassador Francisco Duarte Lopes, Ambassador of Portugal to the United States, and Consul General Tiago Araújo, Consul General of Portugal in Boston, alongside elected officials, community leaders, cultural organizations, and friends of Portugal.

The evening was a meaningful reminder of the strong ties between Portugal and the United States, and of the pride we all share in our language, culture, traditions, and music.

As we look ahead to America’s 250th anniversary and the return of the Boston Portuguese Festival in 2027, we remain committed to celebrating and promoting Portuguese culture throughout New England and beyond.

Congratulations to all who helped make this evening such a success. We were honored to be part of it and proud to stand alongside so many dedicated supporters of our community.
