Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center for the Arts & Education is the only multidisciplinary community arts venue dedicated to serving the Eastside neighborhoods of Los Angeles. Founded in 1970 by prominent labor, business and civic leaders as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we offer affordable after-school, intergenerational arts education programs to nearly 4,100 children, teens and adults each year. Our mission is to foster enrichment of all cultures bridging the geographic, social, artistic, and cultural boundaries of Los Angeles, and beyond. Our upcoming session offers weekly classes in visual arts, music, mariachi, dance and theater for children and adults. There’s something for all skill levels.😎

✏️Onsite registration takes place September 29-October 1, 2026 with classes beginning the week of October 5 and continuing through December 12, 2026. 🗓️ With Thanksgiving week off - November 22-28, 2026.

☀️🏌🏽‍♀️GOLFING for the ARTS! Plaza de la Raza Board of Directors and Staff wish to thank the generous sponsors of our upcoming Golf Classic 2026. This annual fundraising event is the result of months of planning in support of our center and School of Performing & Visual Arts.

⛳️Proceed from the tournament, art auction and dinner will fuel our year-round arts education program supporting dance, theater, music and visual arts instruction for talented young artists and performers at Plaza de la Raza.

☀️This special annual fundraising event brings together community leaders, supporters and friends to make a meaningful difference while enjoying a day of golf. Proceeds benefit Plaza de la Raza’s year-round arts education programs.

☀️Join us in wishing Frank Romero a heartfelt Happy 85th Birthday!🎂🎉

🎨Frank is a significant figure in the history of Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center. Not only has he served on our board of directors, but he has also been a dedicated teaching artist over the years. Along with fellow artists, he began teaching children under the trees in Lincoln Park over 50 years ago and remains a valued member of our School of Performing and Visual Arts faculty.

🫶🏽We want to express our deep gratitude for Frank’s leadership, mentorship, and all that he continues to contribute to our community at Plaza de la Raza. Feliz Cumple, Frank! 🎂✨
