It is a new year. Symbolically a fresh start, Collab is here to kick your creative self into high gear for 2026.

Resolutions. New creative technologies. New projects. And cool new stuff at Collab, LA's best art salon and creative mixer.

Have some cool new project, idea or opportunity you want to discuss? We are having an open Collab format for January, and you're welcome to submit your presentation for one of our open spots. And if you're a live performer or artist who wished to show, we're looking forward to hearing from you as well.

Our guest speakers are structured around an ask and give format. They share their projects, their experiences, and their amazing talents. In return, they make an ask of the community to help make their creative dreams reality.

GUEST SPEAKERS for JANUARY

The Collab Volunteers “Resolutions"
Our annual motivation, inspiration and accountability activity. An awesome and fun way to make friends and contacts, network, and channel your creative energies towards a single, year long goal. Our crew will be leading all participants to identify a challenging (but attainable) creative goal, to share that goal with the group, and suggest ways to achieve that goal. Every 3 months at Collab we’ll have a quick gathering to share our progress, offer suggestions on how to refocus, and do some good old fashioned peer pressure to keep you on track!

Kevin Flint “Table for 7”
Announcing a new, intimate dinner salon to bring together the most interesting, creative and cool people for an night of discussion, creativity and entertainment. In addition to discussing the new event, Kevin will be sharing decades of experience on how you can start your own creative events as well as looking for collaborators to kick this new event into launch! Especially looking for a culinary partner to help make this a tasty affair.

OPEN COLLAB

Have a project to share, an awesome idea to launch or a call for collaborators? We will have open slots to feature YOU! If you’d like to be guaranteed a spot, please send an email to [email protected]

GUEST SPEAKERS FOR DECEMBER

Mei Xian Qiu, a Los Angeles–based international photographer will join us on Tuesday. Mei's transnational upbringing across Java and the United States forms the basis of her complex work - combining inquiry into identity, displacement, and futurity. Born into a Chinese minority community and given multiple names at birth as anticipatory acts, she works at the intersection of lived history and imagined possibility. Her practice traces how selves are fractured, transported, and continually rewritten within shifting political and cultural terrains.

Robert Nelson, fine art visual concepts and character portraits. Twenty years of gallery work. Best known for his shows Mind's Eye and Rated R, and portraits of pop culture celebrities like Pierre Bernard (Pierre Bernard's Recliner of Rage).

Brian Knapmiller is a Los Angeles-based award winning Director/Writer/Producer. Brian has made most of his career in the world of unscripted television, working as a showrunner, producer, director, and writer across a variety of networks and genres. But his greatest passion is still focused on stories that highlight personal stories of triumph over struggle, and exploring subcultures and parts of society others find taboo, controversial, or simply misunderstand.

Edward “Bumdog” Torres is Career Homeless Bum who happens to write, make films, books and movies.
