The arts are not a frill. They’re an essential part of a child’s education.

As we approach National Arts in Education Week, our president & CEO, Rachel S. Moore, reflects on what happens when schools are forced to choose between the subjects that help children learn, grow and thrive.

For more than 60 years, The Music Center has worked with educators and students across Los Angeles County to make meaningful arts learning experiences possible. But there is more work to do.

What innovative ideas and partnerships are helping keep the arts in our classrooms? Rachel wants to hear from you.
