Band Spotlight...

The perform Saturday June 20th:

Hailing from the Chicagoland area, Broken Demeanor is known throughout the city and surrounding suburbs for their energetic live shows and powerful, memorable songs. The band sprung onto the scene in the summer of 2021 and has since grown their fanbase both in and out of state with a hardcore-adjacent flavor of heavy punk rock that they have made their own. Having released their latest EP, "Where Is Home?" in the spring of 2024, and playing a steady string of shows in the Midwest and New England ever since, the band is poised to make strides in 2026 with more releases and tour dates.

Band Spotlight...

The perform Saturday June 20th:

Randy Sabo, Dave Sisson and Rick Uppling are the founding members of the band which formed in the fall of 1991 after a couple of misfires during that summer. Eventually they got things rolling and after a few gigs playing original music out of the gate, recorded the above tracks with Chuck Uchida at Attica Studios over several sessions during Randy's first tenure with band. These tracks were recorded on an old school 4 track and eventually 8 track tape machine bounced off a reel to reel for some old school Sun Records slap back echo. Here the boys stand on the roof of the Flat Iron Building in Chicago's Wicker Park in 1991 where they had a shared rehearsal space with friends and comrades Hi-Fi & The Roadburners.

The brainchild of guitarist Ryan McArdle and vocalist Kevin Fitzgerald, HIGH COMMAND began in rebellion to the brutal winter months, yet quickly spiraled into a full-bore killing machine, initiating the recruitment of like-minded area friends, the lineup fleshed-out by guitarist Mike Bonetti, bassist Chris Berg, and drummer Ryan Pitz.

Band Spotlight...

The performs Saturday June 20th:

When you hear Boybrain you'll wonder how a voice that sounds like it's been gargling razor blades and whiskey can come from such a compact package. Patti (The Dials, New Black, Ratattack) returns with her new baby; a snarling pi**ed off baby reminiscent of 1980s Punk with ferocious vocals, raw energy, and a touch of woven in melody. Joining her on lead guitar is Inga (Wanton Looks) folding in a string of catchy leads that she has become so well known for. A man in demand, drummer Colin of Propane! Propane! and formerly Boys on Trial has found his home in this band of p**s and vinegar. On bass, Jonny, originally from Detroit and formerly of Lost Sounds adds energy with the perfect amount of grit. Boybrain's debut EP "In The Company Of Worms" was released 2/22/22. Boybrain's single "Cayo Hueso" dropped 6/28/2023 followed by their next single "Ratmouth" 10/15/2024 and their newest single "Nailbox" 2/14/2025.
