Northalsted Market Days®, Chicago’s hottest summer celebration, returns in 2024 the 2nd Weekend in August! Admission: a $20 suggested donation helps pay performers, festival workers, and funds community programming. The 42nd annual Northalsted Market Days is a weekend long festival celebrating life & community in Chicago’s landmark LGBTQ+ Northalsted/Lakeview district. The 1/2 mile long festival features all-day lineups of live music on 5 stages, 40+ performers, 200+ vendors, arts, crafts, food and drink, DJ’s and dancing, and more! Estimated attendance approaches 100,000 people from near and far, representing all colors of the rainbow! Founded in 1982, the celebration now spans from Belmont to Addison on North Halsted St. in Chicago’s landmark LGBTQ+ Northalsted neighborhood – America’s first recognized gay village. Northalsted Market Days is easily accessed via the CTA Red Line Addison station at the historic Wrigley Field, CTA Red/Brown/Purple Lines at Belmont, multiple bus lines, and rideshare car/cab services to downtown hotels and other lodging.
