Local talent with deep Cuban roots! We are thrilled to welcome Porto’s own Gustavo Duarte to the musical lineup for Crazy 4 La Timba 2026 in Lisbon this October 15–18!

With two decades of dedication to the craft, Gustavo has traveled to Cuba multiple times to study directly under legends like Milián Galis and Tomás Ramos Ortiz “El Panga.” That commitment to learning straight from the source infuses his playing with incredible power, authenticity, and groove.

From performing with the iconic Cabaret Tropicana Orchestra in Havana to teaching Afro-Cuban percussion around the globe—and right here at Lisbon’s own Hot Club. He is a cornerstone of the local scene and a world-class talent who knows exactly how to make the room pulse.
