O corpo imagina-se na sombra! InShadow, the body imagined within the shadow.

InShadow - Lisbon ScreenDance Festival é uma iniciativa inovadora da Vo'Arte e uma referência no território da criação contemporânea transdisciplinar, destacando a convergência entre a imagem e o corpo e processos de criação artística fundados na tecnologia. InShadow explora atmosferas interdisciplinares pela reflexão sobre soluções estéticas e técnicas de representação do corpo no ecrã, no palco e noutros espaços de actuação. Géneros e linguagens cruzam-se em vídeos, espectáculos e performances, instalações e exposições. A programação integra uma competição de vídeo-dança, de documentário e de animação, performances, uma secção destinada ao público infanto-juvenil, LittleShadow, uma forte componente de formação com workshops e masterclasses destinados aos vários públicos, bem como instalações e exposições que expandem o Festival pela cidade. InShadow promove a criação contemporânea e imprime novos cruzamentos e olhares na cidade de Lisboa em diálogo com o Mundo. Reflecte sobre a vitalidade de um diálogo aberto pelo encontro da experiência de artistas consagrados com as visões de criadores emergentes. InShadow, o corpo imagina-se na sombra.

InShadow - Lisbon ScreenDance Festival is an innovative initiative from Vo'Arte and a reference in contemporary transdisciplinary artistic creation, emphasising the convergence of language between the image and the body, based on technology. InShadow explores interdisciplinary atmospheres through aesthetic solutions and technical representation of the body on screen, on stage and in other platforms. Genres and language intersect in videos, performances, installations and exhibitions that present the vitality of a dialogue between established artists and emerging creators. The program includes an international competition of videodance, documentaries and animation, performances, and a section for the youngster, LittleShadw, workshops, masterclasses, as well as exhibitions and installations, that expand the Festival throughout the city. InShadow promotes contemporary creations and imprints new crossovers and views in the city of Lisbon in connection with the world.

O InShadow estará no Festival PROYECTOR, em Madrid, no dia 18 de setembro. Vamos apresentar uma coleção de quatro vídeo-danças premiadas na última edição do InShadow, numa sessão que reúne diferentes formas de explorar o corpo, o movimento e a imagem.

O InShadow renova a sua presença no MOV'IN Cannes, integrando novamente o grupo de festivais internacionais convidados a apresentar uma obra em competição, numa plataforma que reúne festivais e instituições de referência dedicados ao vídeo-dança.

Nesta edição, "Danças na Cidade - Fractal", de Márcio Simões (PT), foi o filme selecionado para representar o InShadow na Competição Internacional e será apresentado no dia 26 de novembro, no Cineum Cannes, em França.

InShadow is once again among the international festivals invited to compete at MOV'IN Cannes, a platform that brings together a selected group of leading festivals and institutions dedicated to screendance.

This year, "Dances in the City - Fractal", by Márcio Simões (PT), has been selected to represent the InShadow Festival in the International Competition and will be screened on 26 November at Cineum Cannes, France.

De 2 a 7 de agosto, Anna Boekelder realiza a sua Residência Artística no AAC – Soudos – Espaço Rural de Artes, integrada no Prémio AAC – Soudos para Melhor Realizador Internacional, atribuído na 16.ª edição do InShadow (2024), pelo filme Pendulum.

Fruto da parceria entre a Vo'Arte / Festival InShadow e AAC – Soudos – Espaço Rural de Artes, esta residência proporciona um contexto dedicado à investigação, experimentação e ao desenvolvimento de novas práticas artísticas nas áreas das artes performativas e audiovisuais.

From August, 2nd to 7th, Anna Boekelder will be in residence at AAC – Soudos – Espaço Rural de Artes, as part of the AAC – Soudos Award for Best International Filmmaker, awarded at the 16th edition of InShadow (2024) for her film Pendulum.

As a result of the partnership between Vo'Arte / InShadow Festival and AAC – Soudos – Espaço Rural de Artes, these residencies provide a space for research, experimentation and development of new artistic practices in the fields of the performing and audiovisual arts.

From 10 November to 18 December, the festival will once again take over the city of Lisbon with a programme dedicated to the representation of the body on screen.

This year, we received near 300 submissions for the videodance, documentary and animation competition.
