Following the strong impact of Covid-19 is having on culture and its professionals, who have seen their work cancelled completely, we are looking to reinvent our activity to try to cope with the damage caused by the total stoppage of the concerts. In the area of music, in particular, it is important to remember that behind the work of artists there are thousands of professionals: sound technicians, light technicians, designers, roadmanagers, roadies, drivers, agents, managers. Their work is not invisible, although it is not the faces that reach our screens and ears. Artists from various areas were generously the first to offer their art through digital platforms, so that the confinement derived from the pandemic was lighter and sunnier for all. Concerts, conversations, humor, theater, cinema have been, and will continue to be, a good part of the company of all of us, in the silence of our home. These people have offered to their countries the only thing they have to get income: their Work. Fado in a Box has decided to create an online festival – LIVE IN A BOX – which will be broadcast via Instagram between 1st and 3rd May, so that our artists can properly develop their work and be remunerated for it. Each concert will be issued from each artist's Instagram account and will last 45 minutes. The concerts will be, like everyone so far, free and free of access. However, the public will have the possibility to remunerate the artists for their work during the concerts, and up to 45 minutes after the end of it, via bank transfer or other websites (like PayPal, etc).
