News just in - Alex from Southern Ukulele Store will be appearing on the main stage at Shrewkfest 2026 and running a stall with a selection of Ukes from the Southern Ukulele Store for sale ...

Alex Beds is a Bournemouth based Singer Songwriter with a long relationship with Ukulele performance and education going back to the mid 2000's. Alex's relationship with Ukuleles through 'Southern Ukulele Store' and his own educational 'Ukes With Alex' channel have taken him all over the world with appearances at Ukulele shows and festivals in Los Angeles and Hawaii in recent years.

Playing mainly original music that borrows heavily from 1960's Folk and Soul; Alex's love for the Ukulele shines through in his performance.

Southern Ukulele Store is a Bournemouth based Ukulele store that has specialised in Hawaiian and premium Ukuleles since 2008. Many of your favourite Ukulele brands collaborate with SUS on exclusive models and their youtube channel is a true treasure trove of information and historical documentation of the modern world of Ukuleles! Alex will be bringing a small selection of Ukuleles to Shrewkfest!

SHREWKFEST GLAMPING TENTS -

Our glamping tents are a great way to enjoy the festival in comfort, consisting of 5 metre Bell tents,
each tent comes with flooring, 1 x double or 2 x single beds with bedding and battery operated pole lights

The tents can be occupied from 16.00 on the Thursday to 08.00 on the Monday

There is clean drinking water available on the campsite
and a portaloo in the glamping tents area.

Mains electricity is available - you will need a 25m extension lead to run electric supply to your tent

Each tent can be configured as follows :-
1 x double bed or 2 x single beds at a cost of £260 for a 5m tent

1 x double bed plus 1 x single bed at a cost of £285 for a 5m tent

1 x double bed plus 2 x single beds at a cost of £310 for a 5m tent

2 x double beds at a cost of £310 for a 5m tent

3 x single beds at a cost of £285 for a 5m tent

or 4 x single beds at a cost of £310 for a 5m tent

We only have a limited number of Bell tents available so if you would like to reserve one

Kev's comment on the Ukies live broadcast last night about Festival toilets and other people's comments about the cleanliness of Shrewkfest's toilets reminded us of the unsung heroes amongst our volunteers so we would like to thank them all and especially our 'Toilet Team' of Sheila Cowton, Sue Henderson and Rog 'The Bog' Pearson ;)
