We have another double bill for you at Riverside Studios, with two films about love, memory, and family across walls. 🎞️

Lovely Butterfly (short)
An experimental short in which the director reconstructs memory from the letters of her father, imprisoned in Israeli jails for 20 years. Using fragmented images, personal archives and digital map searches, she explores absence, death and the distance between them, and opens a dialogue with him across it.

For Life (feature)
For more than twenty years, Hind Mashahra’s marriage has been shaped by separation. Her husband, Ramadan, is serving a life sentence in an Israeli prison, and they see each other only through glass. Determined to become a mother, Hind sets out to smuggle his s***m out of prison for IVF, navigating checkpoints, bureaucracy and the relentless pressure of time alongside other women in similar circumstances.
