That's a wrap on another edition of The Ridgeway Challenge/Chase. A huge congratulations to everyone that took part and made it an awesome weekend! 🥳

At the front of both races we had some really strong performances:

Challenge 86 miles (male/female)
🥇Kallum Pritchard (13h24) / Gabriela Podgorski (17h26)
🥈Daniel Tinson (14h55) / Rachel Stanley-Evans (19h41)
🥉Tate Eldred (16h02) /Ruth Barker (21h49)

Chase 60K (male/female)
🥇Joseph Turner (4h59) / Emily Bousfield (6h40)
🥈Ben Kidman (6h24) / Maryann Devally (6h50)
🥉Andy Springford (6h41) / Hetta Friend (7h03)

And as ever, plenty of incredible running and achievements across the rest of the field.

This is an event really stretches our team, and even more so this year with the heat.

We are super proud of everyone involved. It's their hard work that enables these events to exist - Over 70 people gave up their time to ensure runners were looked after over a 28 hour period - We are forever grateful 🙏

A look at the race winners from Saturday's Chiltern Hills 100K 🏆

In the men's race, William Flanagan followed up his 4th place in 2025 with a fantastic run to take the overall win.

Throughout the day he was being chased down by a number of runners, the strongest of those were Murray Carr (), finishing just 8 minutes behind in 2nd, and Jason Cuddy () taking third, having run a strong second 50k.

In the women's race Zara Vermeulen led from the front, and built up a comfortable gap on the following pack. She takes the win here, to go alongside her 2nd place finish at our Chiltern Ridge 50K three weeks ago.

Behind Zara, it was an exciting race for the other podium spots, with Simona Cristea () eventually taking 2nd position, just 6 minutes ahead of Hazel Harrison. A particularly impressive run from Hazel, our only V60 runner in the race.

We are reflecting on a very special day at the Chiltern Hills 100K. A day filled with many incredible stories across the field, from front to back. Seeing each person cross under the arch was a privilege, it's such an inspiring day for us as organisers.

It's normally very hard to pull out individuals on a post like this, but yesterday there were three runners that did something remarkable - Sha Khan and his guides, David Allen and Dean Barnett (all pictured), crossed the finish line together in 17h53.

Of course, running 100km on trail, with 2000m of elevation is an incredibly hard challenge. Sha completed this route as a blind runner. An unbelievable achievement, we are so proud of you Sha.

Our half marathon double-header is fast approaching!

1️⃣ 21st June, Dunstable Downs Half (70% full)
2️⃣ 5th July, Chiltern Ridge Half (63% full)

Two races, two very different routes, both with stunning ridgeline views.

If you enter both, you'll automatically be added to the combined leaderboard, with additional prizes up for grabs!

A look at the front of the field at Saturday's Chiltern Ridge Classic 50K. 🥇🥈🥉

In both races we saw some exciting competition - In the men's the top three all went under 4 hours, with Richard Loader coming home in a course record time.

In the women's race, the podium was separated by just five minutes, with Bella Fulford holding off the competition and taking the victory.

Congratulations to all of you! 🥳
