Dirt Running organise the popular Dirt Half Challenge, which takes place on the second Saturday of November. The race starts in Leighton Buzzard and follows the canal towpath north to Stoke Hammond with stunning views, climbs through beautiful countryside to Great Brickhill then passes through the scenic Stockgrove Country Park before following the Greensand Ridge back to the start via the canal towpath. This popular trail race which sells out every year.

We’ve got the perfect distance for you🤟

Join us on 7th November in Leighton Buzzard for the brand-new Metric Half Marathon (13.1KM) — a beautiful, challenging and incredibly scenic route that gives you that “half marathon” feeling without the full 21.1km commitment.

Starting alongside our half marathon runners in the historic market town of Leighton Buzzard, you’ll head out along the stunning autumn canal towpath before branching off around mile 3.5. After a shorter loop, you’ll rejoin the main half marathon route around mile 9, taking in the beautiful countryside and finishing alongside the rest of the Dirt Half runners.
