We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all who attended or volunteered at yesterday’s first ever Boxmoor Santa Dash!

We had an absolutely fab time and we’re so pleased that the real Santa could take time out from his Christmas preparations to join us too!

The event was a success due to all those who participated and volunteered their time to run the day and we’ve received a lot of really positive comments, thank you all so much! Please help us spread the word so we can make next years even bigger and better!

We will be considering all of your feedback as we begin to prepare for next year’s event, and continue to build a fantastic annual event that the community looks forward to. 🎅🏃‍♂️🧑‍🎄

Lastly, we want to shout out and say thank you to Z1 Telecom who sponsored the Santa’s Grotto for the event and without whom the grotto wouldn’t have been possible. Their generous contribution has meant that both Box Moor Trust and Pepper Foundation have raised funds to continue their vital work!

Do keep an eye out for the date of next year’s dash which will be announced soon!

📍Location
Boxmoor Trust Centre, London Road, HP1 2RE

⏰ Timings - Registration(including suit/ hat collections) - Opens 08:00 - 09:55.

2.5K Dash - 09:00
5K - Dash - 10:15

There will be hot drinks and food on offer as well as a fully licensed bar to keep you fuelled and warm.

The weather is due to be dry but cold so please dress accordingly! ❄️ there will be a fun warmup hosted by beforehand to get your blood pumping!

Remider - this is not a competitive event and is to raise money for local causes. Fellow dashers will be walking, running or jogging the route so please be kind, courteous and patient as you navigate the route. There is no rush and the priority is safety and enjoyment on the route! 🏃‍♂️

The route may be slippy/ muddy in parts so do take extra care out on the moors. The route will be marked out and marshalled for safety so please stick to the marked route which is entirely off the roads.

If you are bringing a doggy dasher they must be kept on a short lead! 🐶🐾

Finally, we want to thank all those who have signed up already and remind you it is not too late to grab your place if you haven’t already.

We are looking forward to the first ever Boxmoor Santa Dash and are working hard in the background to bring a fantastic event to Boxmoor! 🎅🎄

Boxmoor Santa Dash is a new race being held in Hemel Hempstead in aid of local charities. There are two races. A 2.5km Elf Dash for children and a 5Km Santa Dash for older kids/ adults.  After the dash there will be Festive Fun at the Box Moor...
