😎 What a gorgeous summer May day Guildford parkrunners, well done for taking part in this heat! We had a turn out of 478 today with 30 fabulous volunteers, you all rocked it. We still need at least two more marshals for Saturday please! Without these vital safety roles we can’t go ahead.

We’re back on Saturday 😊 (did you miss us?) and we still have some essential volunteer roles to fill, without which we cannot hold the event safely. If you are able to volunteer as a marshal or funnel manager then please email [email protected] asap with your parkrun ID.

Also some good news that we are now ‘on’ on 30th May! - the inflatable event that was due to be in the park has been cancelled which means we can go ahead as usual 😊.

Note that we’re CANCELLED this Saturday the 9th of May due to the Inflatable 5k event in the park.

We’re also cancel several Saturdays later in the summer due to various events in the park.

It’s bank holiday weekend and as tradition dictates, the weather is turning.
The volunteers (thank you) are primed and ready to cheer you on and the park is looking beautiful.
So why not get out of bed tomorrow and run while the sun shines. You have an extra day to recover, the going is good to firm, so expecting some PBs.🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👟👏

A fine blue sky morning at Stoke Park with a massive turn out of upwards 500! Thanks to all our volunteers, the brilliant local crew from Guildford 5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer, the milestoners, the lovely David on the parkrun results chat, and to all of you who took part. As we hit dusk on this lovely promise-of-long-summer evening, I'll leave you with this one piece of gold. Always remember two things at parkrun - DFYB and don't FD. Don't forget your barcode and don't funnel duck...you know who you are 🤣

Our good friends Challengers are proud to be the Charity of the Year for the Guildford Inflatable 5K taking place on Saturday 9 May at Stoke Park.

They are hoping to have a strong presence at the event and are currently recruiting volunteers to support with things like a cake stall, tombola, and general event activities. They are looking for volunteers between 09:00–15:00, with flexible shifts to suit.
