Type design workshop opportunity:

Learn experimental processes for designing type in a small group led by Shamma Buhazza (UAE).

Come ready to experiment and see where playing with type takes you.
Expect some unexpected forms.

Find out during Shamma Buhazza’s 2-day type design workshop ‘Type Playground’ at International Assembly.

The workshop is based on Shamma’s own practice of making letters and numbers through layering patterns, grids and textures to create new forms and languages.

And that’s not all.

Shamma Buhazza will be on the big stage at International Assembly, and I have a feeling I’m going to leave very inspired.

And now she’s bringing that energy to the 2026 International Assembly Conference. I’m very curious to hear how she turns simple ideas into something so full of life.

‘Eva Cremers is a 3D Artist and Animation Director from The Netherlands. Her playful, graphic CGI style combines with my unique design sensibility to create charming, joyful worlds of fun.’
