Good news for all Castell roc campers 😍

Pedestrian access to Chepstow’s Old Wye Bridge will reopen from Saturday, 20 June.

Following specialist engineering advice and ongoing monitoring, work will begin this week to allow a safe walking route across the bridge while further detailed checks continue.

We know how important this link is for our communities and visitors, and we’ll keep the bridge under close review to ensure everyone’s safety.

'EVERYTHING ELVIS- GOSPEL SHOW UPDATE'!!
Howdy Folks ,
Bit of bad news, I'm sorry to say, but also a bit of good news relating to this show !
BAD NEWS is , sadly due to other commitments Evan King is not able to perform at EVERYTHING ELVIS GOSPEL SHOW on Sunday evening June 21st at St Mary's Church Chepstow although he will still be with us at the 'EVERYTHING ELVIS DRILL HALL SHOW' the evening before Saturday June 20th- for those who were wanting to see him !
GOOD NEWS is, taking his place will be our very own upcoming star , Ernie Emmanuel
ERNIE, will be joining 'BEN THOMPSON and DARREN GRACELAND JONES to bring a Gospel show like no other, telling the story of Elvis's Gospel journey & showing how Gospel music influenced Elvis's later stage performances !
This is not just an' Elvis Gospel Show', it is an 'EVERYTHING ELVIS GOSPEL SHOW' and one you will not want to miss !!

More news on 'EVERYTHING ELVIS WEEKEND' that is now less than 2 weeks away ,,,,,,, June 20th & 21st
Firstly I should remind you of the fantastic 'ELVIS SHOW' we have lined up for you on the Saturday evening at the Drill Hall with ,the fantastic Evan King, JD King, Darren Graceland Jones and brown ( tickets very limited)
Also as previously posted, the fabulous free 'EVERYTHING ELVIS DAY, in Chepstow High Street, which is going to be a 'whole load of fun , fun , fun !!!
One thing I failed to mention in previous post is all the lovely 'ELVIS MEMORABILIA, that will be on sale all day in the palmer centre 😍
come & have a browse, you'll love it !! .
But this post , is all about 'our finale' the incredible 'ELVIS GOSPEL SHOW' at ST MARY's PRIORY CHURCH ! (Sunday 21st- evening ) This is a Gospel Show like no other , a full blown 'Raise the Roof' Gospel Show ! A gospel show like you have never seen before , as their is an 'Elvis Gospel show' , then their is an 'EVERYTHING ELVIS GOSPEL SHOW'-and the ETA that is going to pull this off for us , is the absolutely brilliant award winning champion Ben Thompson 😍joined by the amazing Darren Graceland Jones and Evan King you really don't want to miss this one !!
opening up the evening will be 'THE MEMORY LANE SINGERS'
A group made up of men & women of a certain age who have never sang in public, or done anything like this before !!
So come and support them , give them the biggest applause possible ! It will make their day 😍

Ok Folks,
Moving on from the first day of 'EVERYTHING ELVIS WEEKEND' Saturday June 20th, with the open Karaoke at Chepstow club starting at 2.30pm and our fabulous 'ELVIS SHOW at THE DRILL HALL in the evening ...... I now want to move on to what we have in store for you the following day on Sunday 21st, and oh boy !!
are you in for a treat !!
All kicks off at 10.30 am - coffee morning at THE PALMER CENTRE with the fabulous Darren Graceland Jones to get everyone in 'Elvis mode' 😀We then move outdoors onto the High Street stage, situated at the town arch , with Elvis Tribute acts plus a few 'friends' all day long , including : Joe Avo, Jack Atherton TCB, Harry James, Davies, Geraint Evans, Karl king, Jeremiah, Emmanuel, Atherton, Leo Franklyn Horler and Mark Evans.
A little further down the street (by boatman) is a community stage set up with pa for musicians who would like to join in the fun , so if you fancy joining in ....... just turn up on the day( bands invited but no drum set up please).
Also in that area new for this year is the 'CIRCUS SKILLS WORKSHOP', where you can try your hand at mixed aerial and ground skills, hula hoops, juggling etc ,,,,plus of course we couldnt have an Elvis day without including 'ELVIS HOUND DOG COMPETITION ' , dress your dog up the Elvis way, to win a prize !!
Also, children's rides, karaoke , motorbikes, food, fun and you could even try an 'Elvis Cocktail' and Elvis favourite food 'Peanut butter and banana sandwiches' !!
Plus , it is fathers day , so get your 'ole man' on the karaoke ! never know, he may win a spot prize ???
So come and join us, you know you want to 😘😘

They have never sang in public before, so we wanted to give them the opportunity and for you to see the enjoyment a group like this can make in bringing people together😍
