Happy World Vegan Day! 💚

Today we celebrate the values that bring our community together – compassion, kindness, and love for all beings.

Teaching our children to care for animals isn't just about what's on their plate. It's about nurturing empathy, showing them that every creature deserves respect and gentleness.

When kids learn to see animals as friends, not food, something beautiful happens. They grow up understanding that their choices matter, that kindness counts, and that they have the power to make the world a little brighter.

At Vegan Kids Festival, we create spaces where these values come alive – where children can connect with animals, make friends who share their heart, and feel proud of their compassion.

🐷 When your festival pig is bigger than most people’s cars!

This absolute unit became the unofficial festival mascot and photo op central. Pretty sure every single family got at least three selfies with our pink friend here 📸

The 'Friends Not Food' message hit different when it’s delivered by a pig the size of a small building. Subtle messaging at its finest! 😂

Also shoutout to whoever had to inflate this beast - your lungs deserve a medal! 🏅

🎧 Silent disco crew looking absolutely iconic in that golden hour light!

When you’re too cool for regular music and need your own personal soundtrack. These three were absolutely LIVING their best festival life with bubble tea and beats 🧋

That lighting though... someone needs to hire this sunset as the official festival photographer! 📸

Pretty sure they spent the entire silent disco session just vibing and looking this effortlessly cool 😎

🌅 When your festival campsite looks like something from a fairytale...

This sunset on Saturday evening was absolutely unreal. Those pre-pitched tents were looking pretty smug with their prime sunset views!

Nothing beats that end-of-day festival feeling - kids finally worn out, parents with a well-deserved drink, and the whole site glowing in golden light ✨

Already missing those peaceful evening vibes. Roll on 2026!

🥁 When your festival has its own enchanted forest AND musical instruments...

The Woodlands zone was pure magic - kids discovering hidden drums, climbing ancient trees, and basically living their best woodland fairy lives 🧚‍♀️

That massive tree became the unofficial festival headquarters for about 20 kids. Pretty sure they held at least two important meetings up there!

Who else’s kids disappeared into the woods for hours?

🎭 The back-of-heads shot that every parent recognizes!

When the entertainment is so good that even the most fidgety festival kids are sitting still and actually watching. This is basically a miracle captured on camera 😂

Those bucket hats were doing SERIOUS work in the August sun. Practical festival parenting at its finest! ☀️

🦸‍♀️ When you’re so proud to be vegan you become a literal superhero!

This little legend rocked up to our Superhero Academy workshop already fully kitted out. That 'V' cape is giving us MAJOR costume goals! 💚 Pretty sure she saved the day at least three times before lunch. Cape swishing game was absolutely on point 👏

📸 Three kids, one photo frame, and approximately 47 attempts to get them all looking at the camera at the same time 😂

Love seeing the Tower Hill Animal Sanctuary shirts in action! These three spent the weekend running between zones like they owned the place. Pretty sure they covered more ground than our volunteers!

The face paint situation by Sunday was... well, let’s call it 'abstract art' 🎨

🍦 When the ice cream is this good AND vegan, you get this level of pure smugness 😎

Seriously though, Happy Cow Ice Cream had kids (and let’s be honest, adults) queuing up all weekend. That blue creation was basically edible art! Pretty sure this little legend finished it in about 30 seconds flat. Respect. 👏

🌳 Festival Adventure Award goes to...

This kid definitely won the 'best use of festival space' award. While everyone else was queuing for activities, this little legend found the perfect climbing tree and basically set up camp there. Smart move, honestly!

There’s nothing like a bit of proper old-school tree climbing. No instructions needed, no sign-up sheet, just pure adventure. Sometimes the best activities are the ones that just... happen. 🌿
