Could you be one of two lucky families to create our first ever Green Gathering Landmark Camp?! 🌿✨
We're looking for two families who already have their festival tickets, who intend to camp together in tents, who'd like to have the unique opportunity of arriving at the festival a day early, on Wednesday 29th July, to set up the Landmark Camp.
Arriving early you'd be the only campers allowed to drive onto the festival site to drop off your camping gear (before taking your cars to the off site carpark and catching a free shuttle bus back). You'd be given a spacious designated camping spot in the centre of the camping fields. And you'd begin your festival refreshed, having done all your travelling and camp set-up the day before. On the Monday after the festival you’d pack up your camp in the morning and then bring your cars onto site to load up in the afternoon, once the other campers have gone home.
In exchange, we'd like you to create a Landmark Camp – a bright, homely camp with bunting, fairy lights and a safe, off-ground campfire (monitored whenever lit). And we'd like you to provide a friendly, reassuring, responsible atmosphere in the campground - your presence would help make solo or new festival-goers feel safe, while also providing a lit, colourful landmark to help campers find their way in what can appear to be a disorienting sea of similar tents.
We wouldn't expect you to stay in your Landmark Camp all the time - of course, everyone wants to get out and enjoy the festival! - but the people we're looking for will be those who enjoy campsite life and are likely to spend a fair bit of time at the camp. We also need you to understand that Wednesday, the day you arrive, is still a festival 'build' day, with machinery moving around and marquees being erected. Careful supervision of your kids before the festival opens will be essential.
To apply, one person representing two families must email [email protected] before the 7th of June. Explain why you'd like to take up this opportunity, why you'd be a good fit for the role, tell us a little about yourselves, your festival experience and your work or hobbies. Tell us how many people are in your two families (maximum 6 adults and 6 children) and their ages. Attach two photos of yourselves camping (at a festival or on a campsite), and include a screenshot of your ticket confirmations. (Images should be low res to avoid overloading our inbox!)
The successful families will be notified by email on or before June 14th. You’ll be introduced to and supported by our Campsite Villages Coordinator.
