Green Gathering The Green Gathering: the original off-grid festival, powered by wind, sun & people.
29 July-1 August 2027, Chepstow.

Four days of music, spoken word, cabaret, crafts, campaigns, campfires, low impact living, love and green life... a festival community powered by sun, wind, people and passion... a festival beyond hedonism where you can party then wake up the next morning with new mates and a mission to change the world! Inspiring and authentic "like festivals used to be", The Green Gathering is held the first weekend in August near Chepstow on the Welsh border - just 18 miles from Bristol. The festival is commissioned by (and raises funds for) The Green Gathering charity, which promotes education for sustainability via hands-on interactive learning and the arts. Supported using public funding by Arts Council England. Part funded by the Welsh government.

YOUR FESTIVAL FAVOURITES! 💚

We asked, you answered! And the results of our annual feedback survey are full of lovely reminders of what makes the Green Gathering so special.

✨ Top bands: Will Varley, New Age Collective, Seize the Day, Suntou Susso and Carnival Collective

✨ Best speakers: Zack Polanski, Seed Sistas and Clive Lewis

✨ Favourite Raconteurs: Mark Thomas, Pete the Temp and FOSSILHEADS

✨ Favourite areas: The Uncommon, Crafts and Enchanted Woods

✨ Favourite activities: Silver ring making, mushroom carving and Ukejam

✨ Best random happenings: Meeting friends old and new, jamming at the Bandstand and the Wye Goddess puppet!

✨ And when it came to food and shopping, Lalita’s, Blue Moon, Buddhafield Cafe, Ice Green and Veggies were among your favourite places to eat, while Hare & Tabor, Trouser Project and Lime Locket Designs got a big thumbs-up for their fab, unique stalls!

Four nights of camping and entertainment, loads of free and for-donation workshops and services, and a whole lot of lovely people.

Earlybird prices end on Saturday! If you’ve been thinking about coming along, now’s a good time to get your tickets.

HAVING YOUR SAY 💚

Our annual FEEDBACK SURVEY results are in!

We take your feedback to heart. Good reviews make all the grimy, crunchy, behind-the-scenes work worthwhile. And criticism inspires us to tweak, get creative and evolve.

So, what did you tell us?

82% of you had a perfect or brilliant time! Music, people and atmosphere were the things you loved best – the variety of music, the friendliness, the sense of belonging and community.

Most of you couldn’t think of ANYTHING you didn’t like, which is truly great news. A few thought the loos and shuttle buses could’ve been better, so we’ll keep working on those. Some of you struggled with the heat, and some wished the music went on later. We’d love to fix the weather and licensing regs for you, but that could be tricky! 😉

Thanks to everyone who took the time to share their thoughts. It really does help us make GG better, year after year.

We can’t believe it’s almost Samhain already but yes the pumpkins are out and Earlybird Tickets are almost gone! 🎃

Your feedback has been pouring in, we’re reading it all and beginning to conjure with how we can make Green Gathering 2027 even better - it’s a tough call given how excellent this year was, but we’ll give it our best!

Did you miss the talks in our Speakers’ Forum? We filmed them live for watching over winter - check out Clive Lewis MP ‘in conversation’ and Lubna Speitan on Zionism is Racism below.

We were over the moon about all the handfastings in our Standing Stone Grove, have a look through the gorgeous pics and if you fancy a ceremony next year, be in touch.

As the days draw in and summer feels a little further away, a little reminder of what it's all about. 💚

‘Gather’ is a spoken word piece made at GG in 2022, celebrating the incredible spoken word we hear at the festival every year, the fire we feel and the many voices that come together to make things happen.

To gather is in our very name. There's something pretty special about what we can do when we come together.
