OLD SODBURY VILLAGE DAY UPDATE: CHANGE OF LOCATION

Due to high winds and risk of thunder storms, Old Sodbury Village Day will be relocating to Old Sodbury Village Hall. Parking will remain at Sugar Orchard Field (home of Old Sodbury FC).

Unfortunately this has also meant some activities have been scaled back, but all entertainment will continue as planned (live music, singing and dancing), along with all our food partners (Old Sodbury Lamb, Pizzas, tea and cakes plus a licensed bar). We hope to see you Saturday!

Old Sodbury Village Day 2026

Saturday 6th June, from midday

We would love every villager and friend of Old Sodbury to join us at Sugar Orchard Field (the home of Old Sodbury FC) as we celebrate our community with friends, neighbours and villagers.

Arrive for midday to set up your picnic blankets, gazebos, outdoor tables and chairs, along with garden games, and anything else to enjoy a leisurely afternoon with friends.

Entertainment
Enjoy local party band For The Record, listen to the Old Sodbury School Choir, and watch Yasmins Dance group.

Animal petting area with Cheery and Chipper Farm Play / Short Mat Bowls / Tug-of-war / Sodbury Rocks Pebble decorating / Wow Faces face painting / Stalls / Speed Chess Sessions / Yate Community Bike Hub / Mask decorating / Bridge Club / Golf Putting Challenge with Chipping Sodbury Golf Club / Flower arranging / Wolf and Whippet / Yate Heritage Centre / Biscuit decorating / Old Sodbury Primary School PTFA / FOSSA plus much more...

Kids Zone
This year, the SuperPirates will be joining us with their full festival set up with star tent, custom snakeland inflatables, huge sound system, barrels full of fun, spinners, nets, parachutes, bubbles, and more! All hosted by three awesome Super Pirates to deliver the fun!

Food & Drink
Old Sodbury Lamb will once again be firing up their barbecue, along with The One Pizza Van, Marshfield Mobile Ice Cream, delicious teas & cakes from Old Sodbury WI and Pimm's, ice cold ciders and other refreshments from Old Sodbury Village Hall who are running a licensed bar.

We’re looking for a local charity or community group who might like to help marshal the car park at Old Sodbury Village Day this year as a simple fundraising opportunity.

Volunteers would help guide cars and collect a £2 donation for parking. In previous years, this has raised around £100 for the group helping out.

It’s a great way to support the event while raising a bit of money for a good cause. If your group might be interested, please comment below or send a message for more details.

**🌟 Cleaner Wanted – old Sodbury Village Hall🌟**

Old Sodbury Village Hall is looking for a reliable local cleaner (ideally self-employed) to join our small, friendly team and work alongside our existing caretaker/cleaner.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a valued community space that hosts a wide range of local activities and events.

**About the role**

* 🧹 Cleaning of Old Sodbury Village Hall
* 🤝 Working in conjunction with the current caretaker/cleaner
* ⏰ Approximately 2–4 hours per week, flexible to fit around hall bookings
* 📅 Occasional weekend work may be required
* 💷 £160 per month
