We've been so busy sending people into somewhere on 2 undersized wheels of late, that we have under-represented the importance of adventuring on 3 undersized wheels.

Here are some pictures to explain why such escapades should not be neglected. You will, as you swipe, note the exquisite splendour of the 3-wheeled adventure machine - the auto-rickshaw - and its maniacal cousin the electro-wallah.

Rickshaws of any manifestation are indeed excellent at helping with your superhero status, breaking down in rather handsome places, electro-wobbling into the jungle, surveilling the galaxy, swimming, questionable camouflage, needless quarry exploration, traditional forms of river transport, escorting you to high altitude and getting irrevocably stuck in sand.

We currently adventure forth on 3 wheels across India, into the Himalayas and around Sri Lanka, but we would encourage you to get yourself into any 3-wheeled conundrum you can muster, just to make sure you understand its importance.

Our next such foray will be into the Himalayas this July, should you wish to join the fray. Link in bio.

Many thanks to the 3-wheel adventuring teams of old for capturing such splendour.

A few days ago, the Monkey Run Morocco came to an end. Now, somewhere in the Agafay desert, lies 48 monkey bikes in somewhat working condition accompanied by their riders filled to the brim with pride.

Knowing that they just conquered the Atlas and Sahara they returned to reality sandy and filled with tales to tell for years to come.

Perhaps they’ll sign up for another adventure? Maybe they’ve inspired you to join in on the next one…click the link in our bio to check out what’s on offer.

Water crossings seemed to be the flavour of the day yesterday. With the conventional approach being to ride through the puddle…Mr Cooper took a different approach (demonstrated on picture 2), lifted his monkey and carried it to safety… we still can’t decide if this was a good idea?

However, Erica has taken the cake for the Photo of the day win. The appropriate amount of bravos have been distributed.

They finish in the coming days, but if you fancy an adventure check out our link in the bio to sign up.

Another day on the road means more photos of adventuring chaos to bestow upon your eyeballs. Today in the form of “Monkey Surfing”, windy roads, cool poses and needing a little push to get going. Cameron Kunkle has taken the win today for capturing this new surfing sport on camera.

With Day One complete our Monkeys are doing well at pretending they’re built for this and quickly learning that “roads” are a very loose concept in Morocco.

Our first Photo Of The Day win goes to Fanni for this beautiful demonstration of teamwork and questionable life choices.

If you’re wanting some sand in your life, October is nearly full but our 2027 runs have plenty of space waiting for you. Head to the link in our bio to find out more.

Yesterday marked the start of our Monkey Run Morocco April Edition in which 48 teams set off from the sands of Merzouga and pointed their wheels vaguely east, towards the Agafay Desert.

Before the throttle was twisted the bikes were poked, prodded and given new racks to hold all the spare pairs of underwear that was brought.

One poor fellow had a brief encounter with the the ground during the Sahara Sand Riding Competition, and the new rack did not survive.

But now…let the chaos begin.

As the riders of Peru wipe away tears of somewhere between joy and pain, a new cohort of fools have arrived in Morocco, ready to take on a sizeable slab of the Atlas mountains. They pootle forth into the desert tomorrow, pointing their monkey bikes in the general direction of any mountain-like shapes they can see in the distance and hoping they make it.

The Monkey Run Morocco is a near 800km jaunt across Morocco's most sandy and then most pointy bits, on a 49cc steed. They are the perfect vehicle for attempting such an outing due to their high level of being totally unsuitable for the job.

Here's our official navigation map to assist them in getting to the finish line. We've attached some photo-classics from past Monkey Run Moroccos so you can see the sort of escapades they're about to embark upon. You can also track them on our tracking map on the Monkey Run website, or just sign up yourself so you can experience it all in real life. Link in bio.

Looking at such scenes of elation at the Monkey Run Peru finish line, you'd think the Riders are happy it's all over. But we know they appreciate it really. Who wouldn't want to be slapped around the face-cheeks with the iron fist of an adventure across the Andes and into the Amazon on a tiny, highly unreliable bike.

In the end, we're sending them back into the world with a well developed grip, some eternal glory and a heightened appreciation of an intact bumhole. What's not to love.

Here are some images for perusal at your leisure of said finish line. Red carpet finales, warm welcome beers, even tinier bike trophies, abandoned aeroplanes - all wrapped up in the warm glow of victory. The last picture is our final photo of the day win from Ms Rochelle, aka The Black Sheep, awarded for her work in orchestrating greater intimacy between monkey bikes and Amazonian waterfalls.

Fancy persuading a monkey bike up the Andes yourself next year? April 2027 is open for sign ups.
