It was such a privilege to host Chief Mbusi Dakamela recently in the United Kingdom.

Siyabonga kakhulu Chief for taking time to meet with members of the Zimbabwean community in the UK, including outgoing Reading Mayor Cllr. Alices Mpofu Coles.

Siyabonga to every community member who came out to connect, share and celebrate.

We were also honoured that he graced the inaugural Isintu Fest celebration in Ireland.

Statement from Isintu Fest

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we have learnt of the tragic traffic accident that has claimed the lives of three executive board members of Highlanders Football Club.

We have worked very closely with Highlanders Football Club over the years. They are more than partners to us, they are family, and custodians of our culture and pride. The loss of these respected leaders is a loss to all of us in the sporting and cultural community.

To the families, friends, players, and the entire Bosso fraternity: we stand with you in this time of immense grief. May you find strength in each other, and may the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace.

We ask that you keep their families in your thoughts and prayers.

We have made the hard decision to postpone Isintu Fest UK originally scheduled for 11 July.. 😔
​Right now, some members of our community are hurting 💔 Out of solidarity and respect, we believe it is important to pause, hold space , and focus on supporting one another 🫂 Holding a gathering at this moment simply does not feel right.

​We will share a rescheduled date in September as soon as possible, and your ticket will automatically transfer. For refunds do request from eventbrite and they will be processed.

We are excited to announce the continuation of our partnership with iSintu Festival UK, strengthening cultural ties between Africa and the Diaspora.

As part of this growing collaboration, the iMiklomelo kaDakamela UK Awards will be introduced at iSintu Festival UK on 11 July 2026, celebrating individuals and organizations championing African heritage, leadership, and community development. The final iSintu Festival program will highlight the timeslot for the compact awards ceremony.
