RIBFEST FRAUD AND THEFT
$500 REWARD FOR ARREST AND CONVICTION

This past weekend over 300 volunteers worked tirelessly at Esquimalt Ribfest for three long days to raise funds for local children’s charities. Sadly, some thief, or perhaps thieves, with a 3D printer created tokens that were similar to the ones we sell to raise funds for these charities. We estimate that this theft/fraud will cost the charity thousands – money that would have gone to support school programs or youth sports or individual kids on the lower end of the socio-economic scale whose families need a hand up.

As a result, we are offering a reward of $500 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the people created these fraudulent tokens and stole from so many children’s charities. We are sure that with the number of tokens redeemed there are numerous people out there who know where they came from and whose printer was used so for $500 cash and to do the right thing, simply call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 and quote Victoria Police file # VI25-35469 – Anonymity is guaranteed and a cornerstone of Crime Stoppers.

And just like that, we have another Esquimalt Ribfest in the books.

A heartfelt thank you to the community, to everyone who came out, and to all the incredible people who made it possible. From the ribbers to the volunteers, organizers, partners, and supporters behind the scene, it truly takes a small army to put this event on.

Thank you for your donations, your support, and your presence, it all goes right back into raising funds for the community.

We can’t wait to share how much was raised this year, but for now… it’s time for bed.

Well, it was another fantastic year at the Esquimalt Rib Fest! 🙌 A massive thank you to our incredible volunteers, organizers, and all the wonderful folks who came out to enjoy the live bands 🎶, taste the mouth-watering ribs 🍖, get out on the dance floor and boogie 💃🕺, and check out the many fantastic vendors 🛍️. This year went off without a hitch, and we couldn’t have done it without this amazing community! 💖

Can’t wait to do it all over again next year! 🎊
