UNITED CONTEMPORARY returns for Art Toronto 2026 as part of the fair's Verge program, a curated selection of galleries within their first 10 years, showcasing works by Anahita Akhavan, Krystle Silverfox, Emma Nishimura and Linda Rotua Sormin.

The pictured works by Krystle Silverfox are part of an ongoing body of works titled "Apprehension." The works incorporate government records documenting her mother's experience in the foster care system during the Sixties Scoop. Through delicate beadwork, Silverfox redacts sensitive information to protect the privacy of her family and others named in the files, transforming bureaucratic documents into acts of care, remembrance, and Indigenous resilience.

Join us on Thursday, October 29, for an evening hosted by and benefiting the McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Canada's only museum devoted exclusively to Canadian art.

This year, Opening Night will feature a DJ from 6–10 PM, adding a dynamic energy to the event. Guests are encouraged to embrace the artsy cocktail dress code.

Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to join a tour of Arte Sur led by curator Karen Huber, offering insight into captivating works from Latin American artists.

Instituto de Visión, based in New York City and Bogotá, is participating in for the first time as part of the 'Arte Sur' program.

The gallery will showcasing works by artists Olinda Silvano, Aycoobo - Wilson Rodríguez and Venuca Evanan.

Curated by Karen Huber, 'Arte Sur' celebrates the vibrant artistry of Latin America.
