One last note on Bitdown 2 before we close this chapter:
When we started our Bitdown project 2 years ago, it was meant to be a one-time, single-day, chiptune mini-fest. Obviously, that’s not at all what happened. This thing is much bigger than we ever could have imagined and we’re so grateful to our community for giving us the chance to do it.
For Bitdown 3, we’re going to be learning about what it means to be the world’s largest artist-centered chiptune fest, but before we do, we want to thank all those that made Bitdown 2 happen.
We want to thank our artists:
Bitdown is so proud of you all! We showcased artists from all over the country with vastly different expressions, but the level of artistry among our 50+ performers was equal. We look to our artists to set the bar on chiptune culture. We can unsurprisingly report to you all - there was no bad Bitdown performances. They all crushed. Congratulations to our artists! We love you.
We want to thank our attendees:
Thank you for supporting our artists and festival. These next years, we’re going to see our audience exponentially expand, but you original attendees were the trend setters, the party starters, and the pioneers. Thank you for believing in Bitdown before anybody else did.
We want to thank our sponsors:
Thank you for considering Bitdown and taking a chance on chiptune. We hope we did you proud ❤️
We want to thank our team:
Bitdown started as a few geeks in a discord channel. Through the love of chiptune, our team of volunteers has doubled and continues to grow. We’re still building our volunteer infrastructure. We definitely had some turbulence, but the Bitdown team overcame the challenges to deliver this DIY festival. Had a good time? Thank a Bitdown team member!
Bitdown 3 coming soon...
