People often ask what makes LPS different from other industry events.

The answer is simple: it's the conversations.

At most events, you're collecting business cards. At LPS, you're building relationships.

The people in the room aren't there to deliver a sales pitch. They're there to share experiences, discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and help each other navigate an industry that continues to evolve at a rapid pace.

You'll find manufacturer representatives, production vendors, logistics experts, travel professionals, broadcasters, designers, technicians, executives, and end users all sitting at the same table having honest discussions about what's working, what's changing, and what's next.

The result?

✅ Real relationships, not just contacts.

✅ Practical solutions from people who've actually faced the challenges.

✅ Direct access to decision-makers.

✅ Ideas you can put into practice immediately.

✅ A community that continues long after the event ends.

The live events industry has always been about people. LPS simply creates the environment for those people to connect in meaningful ways.

That's why so many attendees return year after year.

One of the best things about LPS?

Trying to explain who attends.

Manufacturers. Rental companies. Tour managers. Logistics experts. Integrators. Producers. Freelancers. Broadcast teams. Content creators. Lighting pros. Audio pros. Video pros. Rigging pros. Designers. Engineers. Safety / Security pros. Students. Veterans. Owners. Operators. Consultants. (you get the idea)

If it takes a headset, a road case, a spreadsheet, a lighting or audio console, a flight, a truck, a stage, or a little bit of caffeine-fueled magic to make live events happen... chances are they're at LPS.

Some come to share knowledge. Some come looking for solutions. Some come for biz dev. Some come to meet future collaborators. Most discover all four.

The conversations are smart, the vibe is welcoming, and the collective experience is pretty remarkable.

And let's be honest—spending a few days with industry peers at a Palm Springs resort in January isn't exactly a hardship assignment.

See you January 7–9, 2027. www.LiveProductionSummit.com

Fresh back from Nashville and another unforgettable edition of "The Gathering".

What continues to make this event special isn't just the venue, the absence of an agenda, or the production. It's the people.
Over the course of the evening, dozens of incredible professionals from across our industry came together to share ideas, discuss challenges, explore opportunities, and strengthen relationships. The conversations were thoughtful, candid, and incredibly valuable.

One of the things I'm most proud of about The Gathering is what it isn't. There are no photographers following people around, no step-and-repeat backdrops, no endless sponsor signage, and no data collection exercises. Just genuine conversations among peers who care deeply about this industry and the people within it.

To everyone who attended, thank you for investing your time, sharing your knowledge, and helping create an atmosphere built on trust, collaboration, and authentic connection.

A special thank you to Amy Duke from Marriott for her continued partnership and support.

My sincere appreciation also goes to Sara Schmidt and the outstanding team at the W Nashville. Your hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail made every guest feel welcomed and taken care of from the moment they arrived.
Thank you also goes out to the Access Event Solutions team for our credentials yet again...

And thank you to the entire team at Butterfly. Your collaborative spirit and commitment behind the scenes made the logistics seamless and allowed everyone to focus on what mattered most—the conversations.

"The Gathering" has always been about bringing people together in a relaxed environment where genuine conversations happen naturally, relationships are strengthened, and positive energy is shared throughout the room.

Already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

The live events industry is in a constant state of evolution, and it's incredibly encouraging to witness the growing desire among professionals to broaden their understanding beyond their specialized roles. This proactive approach to learning is a testament to the industry's dynamism and the foresight of its practitioners. Many are recognizing that a holistic view isn't just beneficial for personal growth, but a strategic imperative. For some, it's about future-proofing their careers as they consider life changes like starting a family or seeking greater geographical stability. For others, it's a clear understanding that a well-rounded knowledge base significantly enhances their value proposition, making them more attractive to clients and employers alike. This hunger for comprehensive industry insight is precisely what fuels initiatives like LPS (Live Production Summit), and the influx of compelling topic proposals underscores this trend.

This burgeoning interest in cross-departmental understanding presents a fertile ground for insightful discussions. While I am not on panels my topic would be: "Beyond: Bridging the Silos – Essential Cross-Functional Knowledge for the Future-Proof Event Professional." This panel would aim to demystify the interconnectedness of various event departments, from creative and production to marketing, finance, and talent management. We'd explore practical and pragmatic strategies for gaining a foundational understanding of these areas, discuss how a broader perspective can lead to more innovative solutions and smoother ex*****on, and highlight the tangible career benefits of becoming a well-rounded industry expert. The conversation would focus on actionable takeaways, empowering attendees to actively seek out knowledge outside their comfort zones and ultimately build more resilient and adaptable careers in the ever-evolving landscape of live events.

What might your panel offer attendees of LPS?
