Baddies with Business, founded in June 2020, supports Black women entrepreneurs in years 0-5 of the venture through storytelling via our podcast, resources, skill development via our events, and connections through our online Baddie community.

Baddie, sometimes the opportunities that make us pause are the same ones that show us just how much we’ve grown.

You can be excited, grateful, and still have that little moment of, “Okay… can I really do this?”

All of those emotions are a natural part of growth.

The Baddie Community exists for moments like this. A place where Black women entrepreneurs can celebrate the win, ask questions, and lean on people who understand what it means to build something of your own.

You put your service out there and keep checking your phone. Still no bookings.
Now you’re looking at the price like, “I knew I should’ve charged less.”
Hold on, Baddie. We haven’t found out why people aren’t booking yet.

The price could need adjusting. Let’s look at what people have seen, what they understand about the service, and what they’ve actually told you. Then pull out the numbers and see what a lower price would leave you with.

And bring somebody into the conversation. You know how talking something through with your people can get you to a question you hadn’t even thought to ask?

That’s the kind of conversation you can bring to the Baddie Community. “Lemme show y’all what’s going on. What do you think?”

Before you write “sell twice as much” on the 2027 plan, look at how you’re getting the current orders done.

If you’re already packing boxes every Sunday night, we need to talk about what twice as many orders would ask of you.

Walk through the part that takes the most time. Can you simplify it? What would help cost? How much notice do you need from a customer?

Put those answers next to the sales goal.

I want the business to grow, Baddie. I want you to get some of your Sunday back too. 🤎

When was the last time you took a good look at your website?

As you prep for your holiday offerings, now is a great time to give your website a lil refresh.

Make sure your services are up to date, your links are working, your pricing and information are accurate, and most importantly, that people can easily figure out how to book or buy from you.

You don’t necessarily need a brand new website or a whole redesign. Sometimes it’s just about cleaning up what’s already there and making sure everything still makes sense for where your business is right now.

Give it a quick look before the holiday rush gets here. Your future customers will thank you!
