Cincinnati Design Week is an annual multiple-day celebration featuring one of our city's biggest natural resources, design talent.

This week of design programming is presented by AIGA Cincinnati. Home to some of the world's best design agencies and schools, Cincinnati has placed itself in the forefront of global design. The wealth of resources and talent is unparalleled in the United States. Cincinnati Design Week is a multiple-day celebration made up of workshops, studio tours, panel discussions, and of course, great parties.

And just like that, another design week has come to an end 🥹

This year’s theme was A Sense of Wonder. Together we channeled our collective curiosity to learn something new and connect with our community. From talks, to panels, to project tours, to workshops, and creative fairs—there was a little bit of something for everyone! We love bringing the community together and we’re so incredibly thankful to everyone for coming out to our events last week and showing their support!

Design Week is a 100% volunteer driven effort that is planned and organized by The CDW Collective team, Covington Creates, and collaborating organizations like SEGD Cincinnati Chapter , CreativeMornings/Cincinnati , and IxDA Cincinnati. All of these folks volunteer their time throughout the year to help plan out the schedule & many logistics that make design week happen. In addition to that, design week would also not be possible without our wonderful sponsors MSA Design , University of Cincinnati , Graphic Village , Grit & Pearl , Madison Design , Harlan , AGNT , TEKsystems, The Cincinnati Observatory , LPK , and Xavier University . Thank you for your time, your donations, and for opening up your spaces to our community! We are so grateful for your continued support and investment in our local creative community.

Serving over 10,000 students each year (on campus, and off), Baker Hunt Art & Cultural is a great place to explore creativity and learning. They offer classes, workshops and other experiences in drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, sewing, dance, yoga, and cooking. They also program concerts, art shows, lectures and other cultural experience throughout the year as “special events”.

Join us and CreativeMornings/Cincinnati on Friday morning at SparkHaus for a coffee chat & presentation from one of the local creatives in our community, Christopher A. Ritter.

For the past year, creative director and brand strategist Christopher A. Ritter has been researching a simple question: What happens to creativity when organizations are under pressure?

In this interactive session, Christopher will share some of what he’s learned from research, conversations with creative and business leaders, and more than 20 years working in the creative industry. Along the way, attendees will put some of those ideas into practice, exploring how we can create better conditions for creativity at the individual, team, and organizational level.

Part presentation, part conversation, and part experiment, the session asks a bigger question: How do we protect our ability to create when we need it most?
