The Hyde Park Branch of the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library at 2747 Erie Ave., was built with funds provided by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation in 1912. Hyde Park was one of nine libraries originally funded by Carnegie in Hamilton County, seven of which continue to serve as libraries today.

In 2023, the building location closed for its first renovation since 1970. The branch, located in the heart of Hyde Park, received extensive interior upgrades and expanded meeting space while prioritizing accessibility improvements to the entrances, parking, restrooms, and throughout the building.

These hot and humid days call for a treat, and there’s no better place than Graeter's Ice Cream!

Their French Pot process of ice cream-making dates back to 1870. This artisanal method produces exceptionally rich, dense ice cream with uniquely large chocolate pieces that can’t be replicated by modern techniques. The Graeter’s on Hyde Park Square was the brand’s second location, opening in 1922. It has been a neighborhood institution for more than 100 years!

As we look ahead to the Hyde Park Square Art Show on Sunday, Oct. 4, we want to show support to one of our longtime sponsors! (And a great place to grab breakfast before the show!)

In 1945, Louise Schwartz opened The Echo, a little sandwich shop near the corner of Edwards and Erie Avenues. Today, the menu includes griddle goodies, hangover helpers, and weekly specials! As a neighborhood mainstay, the restaurant has with loyal customers, college kids, and families all settling in to enjoy time together on the Square.
