The Zilker Relays is a 10 mile event. Teams are comprised of 4 runners, each running approximately 2.5 mile loops from one central festival/transition area. The team concept of the Zilker Relays is not unique, but the combination of a relay, festival home base, drinks and music, make this experience a favorite for runners of all calibers and ages. You don't have to train like a marathoner for this one. All you have to do is be willing to run/jog/walk/stroll 2.5" miles, enjoy live music and great food and get 3 of your siblings/kids/buddies/colleagues to come join you for this one of a kind running experience.

You all do the moving on the course. Einstein Moving Company | Best Movers in Texas does some of the heavy lifting before and after.
For years, Einstein Moving has helped us get everything that makes Zilker happen to the park and back again.
Think of it as another Zilker baton handoff—except their baton weighs a few thousand pounds.

Was it all a dream? Because Friday night got a little ridiculous.
The founder of Zilker Relays was back leading the race on a bike while The Loop Elite chased down a new course record.
A record 430 teams hit the course. The Kids Dash sold out. Firefighters ran the relay in full regalia. And somebody showed up with a baton so big we're not entirely sure it was street legal.
So, no. Apparently that all actually happened.
Zilker, you outdid yourself.

Head to Karavel Shoes from 3–7 PM to grab your team's packets and everything you need for race night.
⚠️ There is NO race-day packet pickup.

Friday night. Near downtown. In Austin. Plan accordingly. 🚗
If you're driving yourself to Zilker Relays, leave plenty of extra time for parking and getting to the start. Carpooling, rideshare, biking, and public transportation are strongly encouraged.
Remember: the Stratford lots and all parking along Lou Neff will be closed.
We still have a limited number of $25 spots in the gravel lot, but you'll need to arrive by 5 PM and stay until the last runner is off the course.
Check the map, make your plan, and save the racing for the course.
