Join Cine Las Americas for a Día de los Mu***os gathering! 💀💐

Thursday, November 5, from 5:30–7 PM at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC).

Stop by to say hello and visit our ofrenda honoring a selection of Latine/x and Indigenous filmmakers, actors, and storytellers whose work and legacies continue to inspire us.

This is an informal, come-and-go gathering, so feel free to drop in anytime during the event. We encourage you to explore the other community altars and exhibits too!

🕯️🏵️ The MACC will also host its annual Día de los Mu***os celebration on Sunday, November 1. And, all of the altars will remain on display through November 7, so there's plenty of opportunity to visit and pay your respects.

The film captures the immigrant spirit through the parallel, cross-cultural struggles of a Mexican garment worker trying to survive systemic exploitation in LA's Fashion District.
