Goldens on the Green is a gathering of Golden Retrievers to raise money for Operation Delta Dog.

I LOVE POOL DIVING. You never know what's going to happen when you let your Golden run to the pool to remove the bumper you tossed-in. Most Goldens see and hear the splash of the bumper hitting the water and charge down the run-up area as the stopwatch is running. Joelle records the time it takes for the Golden to remove the baton from the pool's outer edge, however most Goldens never get that far. Most Goldens stop along the way to play with their friends. 😯 Other Goldens make it to the pool, step in to grab the baton but instead flop-down to cool-off, totally exhausted.😂 Those that are successful in removing the baton from the pool's outer edge must have a special technique, so this year we did a few slow-motion videos to understand why they are so good. Did you not see the Protest Area at Goldens on the Green 2026? As you enter to register, the Protest Area is on your right. This area is set-up for non-golden dogs. In the past I have been asked by others if they can bring their non-golden dog to the event. I smile and tell them, "Yes, we have a special area set-up for you."😄 During the early years of the event, people would contact me and suggest I organize an event for non-goldens dogs, like "Labs on the Lawn" or "Poodles in the Park." One person even suggested having a "Rat Terriers on the Terrace." Be sure to read the fine print on the Protest Petition that hangs outside the area and don't forget to read the bottom line. You never know who is going to protest.

The Agility Course is a great warm-up for the other Goldens on the Green activities. Leslie brings her home-made agility equipment each year to share with others, as they try out the jumps, weave poles and in the future possibly a tunnel and a see-saw. It can be quite entertaining to just pull-up a chair and watch the comedy of errors.

How can you not love the Kissing Booth at the Goldens on the Green event. Look at those smiles. Year after year people must stop and get another photo memory of their time at the Goldens on the Green. After all, most have been waiting all year for this day. One lady contacted me the day after the event and said "My jaw is so sore from smiling so much." See All Comments for additional photos.

WMUR noontime news broadcasts on Monday 10/26. This attracted additional followers of the Goldens on the Green page and gave us over 1,600 followers, who can't wait until next year. It's gonna be a long wait.

THE WAIT IS OVER (almost). This Sunday is the day you've been waiting for all year. Coming back this year: The Pup Cup Truck, Goldens on the Green Bandanas. What's new this year: The Photo Stop, Sing Along. With over 1,500 Facebook followers we should have another great turnout. Weather is perfect again, 70 degrees and sunny. The Goldens on the Green 2026 date is Sunday October 25th, pending approval from the Town of Amherst. The date was chosen after the Patriot's 2026 schedule was released. The fall air will be crisp and the leaves will be peaked. MARK YOUR CALENDAR and tell your Golden friends.
