Indi Ko Run Masukol Si Tatay won ICFest 2026 Jury Prize Award and Best Film Music Award!

A dream of becoming an artist, a responsibility to care for an ailing father, and a fateful encounter with the supernatural.

Directed by Elmer Gatoc and Christian Selerio, this short film follows Toto, a young dreamer whose artistic aspirations are challenged by the harsh realities of life. Faced with the burden of caring for his sick father, Toto must confront a life-changing decision that could lead him to the mysterious world of the Tamawo.

The film took home the award for Best Music and Sound Design, featuring Koji Tapispisan’s original soundtrack, “Sukulon.” It also earned nominations for Best Story, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing.

This milestone marks the directorial debut of Gatoc and Selerio in a short film produced under Guimbal iFilm Society and co-produced by BDABDA Studios.

May this be the beginning of more stories that bring our local folklore, creativity, and imagination to the screen. Padayon, mga Ilonggo filmmakers! 🎬
