Eight hours a night? Not necessarily.

We asked Dr. Sophie Bostock, The Sleep Scientist, which sleep myths she wishes we’d stop believing. Her answers might change how you think about a bad night’s sleep:

😴 Myth 1: If you’re sleeping badly, you just need better sleep hygiene
⏰ Myth 2: Everyone needs eight hours
🌙 Myth 3: Waking up in the night makes you a bad sleeper

Swipe for the reality on each, plus how to tell if you’re getting enough.

Sophie returns to The Longevity Show at London’s To***co Dock on 16–17 April! 🎉

Strength in your 70s and 80s is built in the decades before.

We teamed up with LØUCO | Protein for Women’s Health to answer your questions on protein and strength through midlife, with the research behind every answer.

The short version:
→ Lift at least twice a week, and train the movements you use in everyday life
→ Eat roughly 25–40g of protein at every meal, as part of a balanced plate
→ Start before you think you need to. Muscle and bone respond at every age.

Save this for your next training week, and share it with a friend who’s thinking about her future self.

You’d never deadlift half-distracted at the bus stop, so why train your pelvic floor that way?

Your pelvic floor isn’t just a pregnancy topic. It’s a longevity one. The strength you build now is what keeps you lifting, running and living independently into your 70s and beyond.

Women’s strength coach and pelvic health specialist Rachel Prince ( ) explains what most of us were never taught, and how to train it properly through perimenopause and beyond. Watch to the end 👆

Rachel will be back at The Longevity Show, leading a session in The Studio on 16-17 April 2027 at To***co Dock, London.

What’s the one habit every woman should focus on in her 40s? And is baseline hormone testing worth it?

For World Menopause Month, Dr Nirusha Kumaran, Chief Medical Officer at Founders Health, answers both.

“Our muscle is our currency of longevity.” As hormones shift, building muscle gets harder, so start strength training now, even if it’s just two tin cans or bodyweight exercises.

And on testing: what looks normal on paper might not be normal for you. Knowing your baseline means changes through perimenopause and menopause don’t get missed.

Nirusha returns to the Women’s Health Summit at The Longevity Show, 16–17 April 2027, To***co Dock, London.

Women’s health deserves its own longevity lens.

It’s World Menopause Month, so it feels like the right moment to look back at the Women’s Health Summit at The Longevity Show. With Hertility Health as our strategic and content partner, we made space for conversations that rarely make it onto a health stage: careers, identity and leadership through midlife. A standout was Carolyn Dawson and Rosie Nixon of Reinvention Retreats on why, with careers now lasting 50 years or more, a reinvention mindset is essential for a healthy lifespan.

The Summit returns as part of The Longevity Show 2027, running across both days. Opening Day 2 is The Menopause Revolution: what’s changed, and what still needs to. Also on our radar: the female heart, the pain gap in diagnosis, muscle and bone for life, the female brain, pelvic health, and FemTech under the microscope.
