How it started.

This poster would have started doing the rounds about fifteen years ago while we worked over the Christmas break to try and piece the behemoth that was the first Threshold Festival together.

By the time we were in pre-production these numbers were somewhat inaccurate - there were actually a lot more stages, bands musicians and DJs as well as a full visual & performing arts and film programme.

Was it perfect? Absolutely not, but it made an impact and it’s great to hear people still talk about it.

Feels like yesterday and a life time ago.

What memories do you have of Threshold Festival 2011?

We are deeply saddened to hear of Rob Casson’s passing.

Rob was a big supporter of Threshold Festival, helping to nurture our partnership with the Skiddle team over the years.

He was also a truly great figure in Liverpool music scene, taking Freeze from a small night above The Lemon Lounge to one of the biggest and best club events the city has ever seen.

Sending much love and light to his family & loved ones. Particularly the Skiddle & Freeze team.

You won’t be forgotten, Rob.

X

Today is our darkest day. We are devastated to confirm that Robert Casson, head of our promoter team at Skiddle died peacefully in his sleep on Monday night.

Rob was a much loved colleague and friend and we have lost a huge part of us. At this time whilst the Skiddle family is coming to terms with this, we ask for your patience and understanding.

We do understand however, that there may be pressing issues outstanding, and therefore ask if anything urgent that you may have been communicating with Rob over now be directed to [email protected]

Further details will be published in due course.

Up the Toffees.
