The news about the Burstin Hotel is a real blow for Folkestone. Whatever your memories of the place, it’s been part of the town’s skyline for decades — and for us, it’s tied to one of the best weekends we’ve ever had.

Just over a year ago we were on that Skabour stage, sharing the night with Junior T***s, skankin’ like a goodun and lifting the whole room. A proper weekend of music, sunshine, good people and Folkestone energy. let's hope it's will continue to be Skabour's home for many years to come.

We were deeply saddened to hear about the fire at the Grand Burstin Hotel, the home of Skabour for many years.

It’s hard to believe that just one week ago, the hotel was filled with our Skabour family, and we are incredibly thankful that our festival community is safe.

Today, however, our thoughts are first and foremost with the hotel’s staff, guests and everyone affected by the fire. We hope everyone is safe and receiving the support they need at what must be an incredibly difficult time.

We know some of you may have questions about what this means for Skabour 2027. At this time, we don’t have any further information to share, and we feel it would be inappropriate to speculate while the situation is still unfolding.

For now, our thoughts remain with everyone affected. 🖤🤍

What a weekend! 🎶

A huge thank you to every single person who came along and made Skabour 2026 what it was. To all the incredible bands and DJs who kept Folkestone dancing, everyone who worked behind the scenes, our brilliant volunteers, and every person who bought a ticket, danced, sang along and supported the festival - thank you.

We also want you to know that we’ve heard your feedback about the heat in the ballroom. We know it was uncomfortable at times, and it’s something we’ll be looking at with the hotel and addressing for next year.

Skabour simply wouldn’t happen without the people who give their time, talent and support to it - and without all of you who turn up year after year and bring the atmosphere. 🖤🤍

From all of us here at Skabour, thank you for another unforgettable weekend.
