Our flagship workshop today with volunteers , staff and users of Centre Was very creative and inspiring.
We discussed the role of the centre in the community the diverse groups that use and enjoy the space .
The designs fur the flag reflect the varying care and central role Henhayes provides for the town .
The symbols and flag designs created today Will be flying high during our flagship display in September.

Lots of creative energy in our Flagship workshop,with the wonderful children of Y6 at Ashland’s Primary school this week. The children drew and designed symbols and words that express their journey through the school as they are leaving this year .We did lots sewing , learning to stitch and make patterns. Learning about sail making and simple sewing .
And finally our workshop ended with a group discussion about their final design for the flag .
Fantastic work Ashland’s ..Well done to all the Children and the staff for supporting the Flagship project in our Town .

A joyful day of flag making workshops with the wonderful children at Maiden Beech School.
Sewing, painting ,drawing and designing . The schools flag will be on display at the festival and all the children’s work will be on display at Open doors Hub and at the Museum during the festival .

Thanks to Waitrose shoppers for their generosity we collected £118.23 in donations today toward a the project!

We'll be having a stall at Waitrose on Friday morning next week (5th June) to share the project and do a bit of fundraising and there is also a crowdfunder page for anyone who might want to donate towards materials for the project:
