Our final thank you goes to the people many visitors may never see, but without whom Chirk Carnival simply would not happen.
Behind every day of fun, laughter, music, performances, stalls and memories, there is a team of hardworking people giving their time, energy and care behind the scenes.
To the crews who work tirelessly in all weathers, often late into the night, bringing equipment onto site, setting up stages, marquees, barriers, bins, signs and everything else needed to make the event safe and welcoming — thank you.
To those who return when the crowds have gone home, when the field is quiet again, to take it all back down — this year in torrential rain — thank you.
To the litter pickers and clean-up teams who make sure the field is left clean, tidy and respected for everyone who uses it afterwards — thank you.
There are so many unsung heroes working quietly in the background to make sure Chirk Carnival can continue year after year. It may be one day of fun for many, but it takes weeks of planning, long hours, hard work and real dedication from people who care deeply about making community events possible.
Across the country, events like ours only happen because of the incredible people behind the scenes in the event industry and local community. So please take a moment to appreciate them.
