DAY 7!

Just a few days of Fringe left, and we’ve got another day of FREE workshops before Nubiyan Twist take over the Town Hall tonight!

✍️ 11am – Micro Storytelling | FREE
Can you tell a whole story in just 100 words? Join local writer David Haworth for a practical, fun introduction to short-form storytelling.

🚶 12pm – Street Wisdom | FREE
See Llangollen with fresh eyes on a lunchtime “walkshop” with Emily Wilkinson, using mindfulness, imagination and the world around you to spark new ideas. Meet at the Town Hall.

🎤 2pm – Love Your Voice | FREE
Explore your voice in a completely different way with Jen Naylor, using sound, listening and playful techniques to discover what your voice can do.

🔥 TONIGHT – NUBIYAN TWIST + PANEDENI BACH

Nine-piece Nubiyan Twist bring their incredible blend of jazz, afrobeat, soul, hip-hop and dance music to Llangollen Town Hall, with Panedeni Bach opening the night.

Join Dr Stephen Kenyon for a reflective creative writing workshop exploring grief, absence and memory through poetry.

🌍 12pm – National Emergency Briefing | Town Hall | FREE
A screening exploring the climate and nature crisis, the solutions available and what happens next.

🎧 2pm – DJ Workshop | The Lock Up | FREE
Ever wanted to have a go behind the decks? Join DJ and radio presenter Jacki-E for a hands-on introduction to mixing, building energy and shaping a set. No experience needed.

🎻 6pm – Trad Session | Gales Wine Bar | FREE
Bring an instrument and join in, or just come along and listen.

✨ 7pm – Mindtravels: The Unrepeatable Day | Gales | FREE
Spoken word and improvised music from Mark Hutchinson & Josh Johnston, taking you on a journey through a day in the life.

🌙 8:30pm – Tales of Mystery, Magic and Wonder | Gales | FREE
North Wales storyteller CORRYN brings legends, nature and mystery to life through theatrical storytelling. (Aimed at 16+.)

🔥 TONIGHT – TALISK + TOM CAMPBELL TRIO
One of the biggest names in contemporary folk comes to Llangollen Town Hall, with Tom Campbell Trio opening the night. Doors 7:30pm | 🎟️ £20

✍️ 11am – Monostich Poetry | FREE
Discover how much a single line of poetry can say in this hands-on workshop with poet and author Paul Clifton. Open to writers of all levels.

🎶 2pm – Music Into Poetry | FREE
Explore the creative connection between hearing and feeling music, and translating those sensations into poetry and creative writing.

🇨🇦 6:30pm – Dave Gunning | The Hand Hotel
Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Dave Gunning joins us for a special pay-what-you-can show.

🔥 7:30pm – BCUC + Morgan Elwy a’r Band | Town Hall
Straight from Soweto, South Africa, BCUC bring their explosive mix of indigenous funk, hip-hop and punk to the Town Hall, with Morgan Elwy a’r Band opening the night.

FREE LIVE MUSIC TOMORROW | DAVE GUNNING 🇨🇦

We’re delighted to welcome award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Dave Gunning to Llangollen Fringe tomorrow for a special show at The Hand Hotel.

Hailing from Nova Scotia, Dave has spent more than 30 years performing across Canada and beyond, picking up multiple Canadian Folk Music Awards along the way.

This is a pay what you can show – there’s no set ticket price, so come along, bring some friends and enjoy a brilliant evening of live music.

Another full day of Fringe in Llangollen!

We’ve got FREE workshops throughout the day, with Planning Your Story at 11am and Performance Poetry at 2pm, followed by FREE Spoken Word at Gales tonight.

Then at Llangollen Town Hall, acclaimed Scottish fiddler Ryan Young, joined by guitarist Stuart McCallum, takes to the stage with support from Aneirin Jones.

There’s loads happening across Llangollen today!

From 9:30am, Trad Lab gets underway, alongside free creative and family workshops throughout the day.

Then from 2pm, Music Around Town brings FREE live music to The Hand, Three Eagles, Bridge End and Gales, with artists playing throughout the afternoon.

🏴 At The Hand, Mairi McGillivray + Abigail Pryde join us for two FREE Scotland Introducing shows from 3:30pm.

And tonight, Skinny Lister + Piskey Led take over Llangollen Town Hall!

There’s loads to discover today – much of it completely FREE. Just come into town and get involved. 🎶

We’re bringing two brilliant Scottish artists to The Hand Hotel this Sunday for an afternoon of FREE live music.

3:30pm – Mairi McGillivray
A Gaelic singer from the Isle of Islay, Mairi brings traditional Gaelic song together with her own contemporary sound.

4:40pm – Abigail Pryde
Hailing from rural Argyll, Abigail draws on Scottish folk and country influences, with songs from her debut album.

Both shows are FREE – just come along and discover some new music.
