So after 6 months of playing in varying degrees and types of weather the 2025-2026 Bandit winter series has come to an end.
Saturday at Joules BC, MD we had 40 entrants taking part in the ‘one dayers’ finals day.
After a long day of strong competitive bowling all over the green Nigel Ferrington showed great consistency throughout and beat Scott Harries 21-17 in the final.
On Sunday we awarded the usual prizes to the winter series………most improved, best junior, best lady, best male and league winner.
On the day there were 48 competing at Bicton BC, Shrews where after the round robins were completed we headed into the R32.
As usual Callum Wraight, after struggling to get going in his first round robin game, showed his normal consistency and improved throughout to win the main finals day competition trophy by beating the ever consistent Alan Boulton 21-12 in the final.
This was to go alongside the Bandit winter series league table trophy that he was awarded where he played and won a total of 59 out of 59 Sunday qualifying session games.
