And goody bag creation has commenced for 😀

For those of you who aren't aware, South Cheshire Harriers ' raise money for a 'charity of choice' each year, and this year it's 💚

With mental wellbeing high on our agenda, John Ferguson our Charity Manager (who also volunteers his own time for this fantastic cause) has secured some treats and useful information for our runners taking part in Crewe 10k this Sunday!

We hope you enjoy, as much as you do the Easter Egg 😉

6 weeks this very Sunday not only will it be Easter Sunday, but it will also be time for our very own Crewe 10k race, which if you didn't know is arranged by our very own club.

This annual event yet again forms part of the North Staffs Road Runners Association. (NSRRA) racing calendar for 2024 and so in order that a great time can be had by all WE NEED YOUR HELP!

In order that our race can happen, we need some willing volunteers to help with various activities throughout the morning (including marshalling duties)! Perhaps you are running the event and have friends and family who may be able to help on the day? 💙

This year EVERY SINGLE REGISTERED VOLUNTEER, who helps out on the day, will be rewarded with not only the smiles of the fantastic runners taking part, but also AN EASTER EGG. 🐣

Port Vale fans running South Cheshire Harriers’ Crewe 10k on Easter Sunday, have raised £1,000 for a statue to celebrate their former manager.

Important info for those running the on Sunday!

We look forward to welcoming you Sunday 9th April to the Crewe 10K supported by Avanti West Coast and hope you find the following information helpful:

✅Race HQ is located at Apollo Buckingham Health Science Campus, Crewe Green Rd CW1 5DU The race starts at 09:30. The start is about a 5 minute walk from race HQ.

✅Car Parking is also at Race HQ and will be available from 08:00 hrs. Please park as directed by the marshals. Please car share if possible

✅Race Numbers: collected on the day from 08:00 hours at Race HQ Registration closes at 09:00 hrs

✅T shirts, those race numbers from 1 - 231 have paid for a T shirt, please collect either from Race HQ before the race or after at the finish. Race numbers from 232 upwards you have paid a discounted price to allow for no T shirt.

✅Everyone will receive goodie bags at the end with a Easter Egg and other goodies and water.

✅Water, there will be a water station around the mid point in the race and at the end.

✅Prize Giving will take place back at Race HQ after the race. NSRRA - please wear your letters.

✅The race is full and there will be no entries on the day.
