189th Fergus Fall Fair - September 18-20, 2026 Our fair is the tenth oldest in Ontario and we are proud to showcase local agriculture and bring the community together each September.

Ambassador Emma and our volunteers recently attended the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) District 7 fall meeting in Embro.

Congratulations to Fergus Fall Fair exhibitor Luella Lockhart who won a red ribbon in hand quilting! Her quilt will go on to the provincial competition.

has returned!

Today we're introducing Randy Kent, a second-generation volunteer who has been giving his time to the Fergus Agricultural Society for over 20 years.

Randy leads grounds maintenance at the Fergus Fall Fair and also volunteers on the entertainment committee where he coordinates the midway and other games and activities. He brought the popular straw bale maze to the fair and is always on the lookout for new additions for our community to enjoy.

“As a farmer, I think it’s important to teach the public about agriculture and where their food comes from,” he says. “I enjoy being a part of the community and giving back to future generations so that they can continue to make memories and continue traditions.”

Randy is a dairy farmer near Fergus and has a small herd of Jersey cows. He has been a local committee delegate for Dairy Farmers of Ontario and is currently a director of the Grand River Jersey Association.

The Fergus Fall Fair opened five weeks ago and we still can't believe how perfect Pearl was. 😍

As the first Fergus Fall Fair mascot, she patiently met thousands of visitors and posed for photos. Comment your favourite Pearl pic below!

We'd like to extend a huge thanks to Sarah for sharing her beautiful horse with us and for spending the weekend at the fair.

Pearl would also like to say thank you to the Regional Tourism Organization 4 (RT04) Partnership Program for supporting this project.

🌾 Happy Ontario Agriculture Week!

Agriculture is a big part of life in Wellington County. This week, we’re celebrating the farmers, producers and food businesses that grow, make and sell food right here in our community. Fresh produce, meat, dairy, maple syrup, honey, preserves, baked goods, craft beverages and more — there’s no shortage of ways to put local on the table!

Next time you’re at the farmers’ market, stopping at a farm gate or picking up something from a nearby producer, take a moment to get to know where your food comes from and the people behind it.
