Please be aware of fraud scammers impersonating Cogs & Clockwork Fergus Steampunk Festival asking for insurance payments or booth fees. If you have not spoken directly to us on the phone, be aware that all spaces are filled and assigned.
We do not require insurance payments, vendor fees or anything else. Our records show everyone has paid, and if you haven’t sent your insurance, we use DUUO and will not ask for any additional fees.

Please let people know

If you are doing cogs then you recently received your vendor package with your location.

Do not click on any links that are from any cogs emails as we will not be sending out any

Festival Fraudsters

Due to the increase in festival organizer accepting applications and payment. Please be sure you have filled out the official Cogs & Clockwork application available on our website www.cogsandclockwork.com. If you have received a confirmation and invoice from the festival, our invoice has not changed from last year.
Please be aware that there are also guests using counterfeit cash as well so be aware of how to know if the cash you receive is counterfeit. Here is the bank of Canada site which may help

If you have received an invoice that did not look like last years reach out to us immediately.

Please remember, If you are selling food you must have your CW health certificate which is a fairly simple process for most of you.

We will be calling some vendors who have previously joined the festival but have not yet applied to confirm participation.
If you have bees defrauded, the festival organizers cannot approach the police on your behalf as we are not the injured party, each person must call on their own unfortunately.
It saddens us that we have these new concerns to deal with but these fraudsters have poses as many festival organizers including Meadows Festival, Fergus Medieval Faire, and other festivals in Ontario.

We have some changes we would like to make this year and would appreciate your feedback this week before we post the 2026 applications.
Please take a moment this week to fill out the Google form below and share your thoughts. Point form comments would be ideal.

Once the feedback has been gone through, considered and either implemented, postponed or rejected we are hoping to get the applications posted by Friday January 16. The application link will be emailed to past vendors when it is ready and will be posted on our website at the same time.
