Our friends have a show coming up just after this year's event!

Calgary Music Collectors Show, Sunday, October 18, 11 to 4, and admission is still only $5. The largest collection of mostly used vinyl records, CDs, and cassette tapes on the Prairies.
75 vendors with quality music of all genres. All takes place at the Acadia Rec Complex, 240-90th Ave SE.

Unfortunately, keeping ahead of scammers and fake accounts has become an increasing challenge. I am the only person working full-time on the convention, and I do so without taking a salary. My time needs to go toward producing the event and supporting the community rather than constantly dealing with scams or unrelated arguments on our social media pages.

I also want to clarify something regarding AI and artwork.

Calgary Horror Con has always supported artists, and that isn't changing.

I have been an artist for most of my life, and we currently have three artists working on content for the convention. Our guest announcements, Calgary Horror Con logo, website artwork, vendor badges and other major promotional materials are created by artists.

Supporting creative people is a major part of what Calgary Horror Con is about. We provide opportunities for artists and vendors, showcase filmmakers through our international film festival, and hire talent including burlesque performers, live musicians and graphic artists.

AI is very rarely used for Calgary Horror Con content. When I do use it, it is generally as a tool to help organize thoughts, develop ideas, or occasionally create something for a minor post where commissioning original artwork simply doesn't make sense.

If you believe something on the page was AI-generated, please don't turn the comments into a debate about it. You are welcome to scroll past the post or unfollow the page. Those arguments take attention away from the artists, filmmakers, performers, vendors and horror fans this convention exists to support.

Calgary Horror Con is, and will continue to be, about supporting and celebrating the Horror Community.

I am stoked to announce my friend Rebecca Videnoff will be joining the 2026 lineup. Rebecca is a Channel and Psychic, most well known for her direct channel to The Galactic Federation and other high frequency extraterrestrial beings. Through many years of channeling these beings, she has gained a higher perspective on humanity, the soul’s evolution and the Ascension of Earth. Deeply understanding the language of energy, Rebecca is highly skilled in her field, leading the way to New Earth through compassion, community and love.

CHANNELING SERIAL KILLERS:
In this discussion, Rebecca will explore the complex nature of notorious serial killers by channeling their spirits. By providing insights into their backgrounds, motivations, and experiences, Rebecca aims to challenge the audience's perceptions of evil. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of these figures, illustrating that while some may embody true malevolence, others may represent tragic stories of lost potential and emotional turmoil. In this talk, Rebecca will introduce the concept of the Galactic Federation and its significance in the context of humanity's ascension. She will discuss the nature of this collective, composed of benevolent beings from various civilizations across the galaxy, and their role in supporting and guiding humanity during this transformative period. By highlighting their efforts to assist in spiritual awakening and enlightenment, Rebecca aims to illuminate the ways in which these higher-dimensional entities are contributing to the elevation of consciousness on Earth. Through her insights, she seeks to inspire hope and foster a sense of unity, emphasizing that humanity is not alone in its journey toward greater awareness and evolution.
