Designed and hand-built during the winter break of his final year of Industrial Design at the University of Canberra, YOKE is a stunning study in contrasts. Luc paired a raw, industrial mild steel frame with plush, soft upholstery to challenge contemporary furniture trends. The name itself comes from the traditional agricultural tool, symbolising how the exposed frame unites the individual elements to support the user.

Lucโ€™s intentional approach to sustainability and materials makes him a serious one to watch in the Australian design scene.

His piece, "Spun Through My Mind," invites you to sit beside it and set it in motion - as the sphere rotates around the light bulb, shifting shadows stretch across the room, creating an immersive, hypnotic and calming environment.
