We are excited to welcome Laing O'Rourke to the Major Projects Stage at Converge 2025.

Laing O’Rourke led the delivery of the Australia–Singapore Military Training Initiative Facilities Project at Shoalwater Bay, Queensland. As Managing Contractor, the team constructed new facilities and upgraded existing infrastructure to support expanded training for the Australian Defence Force and Singapore Armed Forces. The project exceeded targets for Indigenous participation and local industry engagement. More than 80 per cent of works were awarded to regional Queensland businesses. It also set a benchmark for stakeholder collaboration and Defence infrastructure delivery. Attendees will gain first-hand insights into this impressive build, including what it took to deliver live-fire training environments and extensive civil infrastructure.
